Urban Greening Grant Program
Overview
The Urban Greening Program, funded by the General Fund, is a grant program designed to promote a comprehensive, long-term approach to addressing climate change to improve the environment. Specifically, the program funds urban greening and urban forestry projects that reduce GHG emissions and provide multiple additional benefits. Eligible urban greening projects will reduce GHG emissions, mitigate the effects of extreme heat, and provide multiple additional benefits, including, but not limited to, a decrease in air and water pollution or a reduction in the consumption of natural resources and energy.
