Sustainable Transportation Equity Project (STEP) – Planning and Capacity Building

Overview

STEP is a new transportation equity pilot that aims to address community residents’ transportation needs, increase access to key destinations, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by funding planning, clean transportation, and supporting projects. STEP currently has up to $2 million available from Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-2020 Low Carbon Transportation Investments to help disadvantaged and low-income communities identify residents’ transportation needs and prepare them to implement clean transportation and supporting projects.
