Sustainable Groundwater Management (SGM) Grant Program’s SGMA Implementation Round 2

Overview

The SGM Grant Program's SGMA Implementation Round 2 will provide funding to GSAs and other responsible entities to update/revise/modify their GSPs or their Alternatives to a GSP or for construction projects and management actions required for the implementation of the GSP or Alternative Plan. This funding is for eligible applicants with projects located in medium and high priority basins, including critically overdrafted (COD) basins. The Legislature has provided, or will provide, over $200 million to DWR for SGMA Implementation activities, that includes planning and implementation projects.
