Overview

Create new parks, expand, or improve existing parks, to increase park access in under-served communities throughout California. To create new parks, expand, or improve existing parks: -Acquisition of land, pre-construction (design, permits etc) and construction costs are eligible.  Projects in economically disadvantaged communities with a lack of parks are prioritized.  Parks designed with community residents' ideas through community based planning and partnerships with health organizations are encouraged.  No Match.  The grant may pay for 100% of total project cost. If the project requires additional funds beyond the grant request, those additional funds must be "committed" at the time of application.  Otherwise, the applicant should scale the project down to a phase that can be...
