However, proposed projects within a Cannabis Priority Watershed, as defined by the State Water Resources Control Board in coordination with CDFW, and/or identified as a priority stream in the California Water Action Plan are encouraged.

Overview

CDFW will provide funding to implement the cleanup and remediation of illicit cannabis cultivation impacts on qualified public lands. CDFW will provide funding to implement the cleanup and remediation of illicit cannabis cultivation impacts on qualified public lands. Qualified public land includes land owned in fee simple title and managed by a federal, state, local government, or institution, or California Native American tribal government. It also includes land held by the United States in trust for a California Native American tribe.
