Proposition 1 Grant Program

Overview

The principal goal of the Conservancy 's Proposition 1 grant program is to support implementation of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program by providing funding for multi-benefit stormwater, watershed and ecosystem restoration, aquatic invasive species, forest health, and sustainable communities projects. The California Tahoe Conservancy (Conservancy) leads California's efforts to restore and enhance the extraordinary natural and recreational resources of the Lake Tahoe Basin. Proposition 1 allocates $15 million directly to the Conservancy for multi-benefit ecosystem and watershed protection and restoration projects consistent with the California Water Action Plan and other State priorities, including the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP).
