Proposition 1 Grant Program

Overview

Implement the California Water Action Plan in the Coachella Valley Eligible Applicants include state or local public agencies, nonprofit organizations, tribes recognized by the state or federal government and mutual water companies. Any project that meets the statutory objectives of Proposition 1 will be considered, but applications for the following types of projects are particularly encouraged: Conservation land acquisition projects that preserve watersheds or habitat areas for endangered species; Watershed restoration or enhancement projects; or Infrastructure projects that improve water management to reduce use or enhance efficient, or prevent flooding.
