Overview

This grant program is designed to help divert waste tires from landfill disposal and prevent illegal tire dumping. Funds pay for waste tire collection events that are held in convenient locations for the public to bring in their used tires at no charge. An amnesty event may also consist of a coupon program that allows citizens to bring in their tires on specified days. Amnesty events are intended to be free and convenient waste tire collection events for the public to bring in tires that they generate and for businesses that have been victims of illegal dumping.  Tires generated from farming equipment, or a small business are also allowed.
