Overview

The purpose of this solicitation is to demonstrate innovative charging technologies and/or business models that highlight the unique needs of MD/HD vehicles and fleets. This is a two-phased competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $20,000,000 in grant funds for Phase 1 projects that demonstrate transformative technology solutions and work to accelerate the successful commercial deployment of medium- and heavy-duty (MD/HD) electric vehicle (EV) charging applications, including, but not limited to the following: innovative business models (e.g., truck parking, truck stops/charging hubs, charging corridors, and mobility/charging-as-a-service); and innovative technologies (e.g., large scale...
