Overview

The Program is seeking proposals for climate adaptation and resiliency projects that protect, restore, and improve upper watershed lands in the Sierra Nevada and Cascade Mountains, including forest lands, meadows, wetlands, chaparral, and riparian habitat. WCB anticipates awarding up to $18 million in grants selected through this PSN, and funds must be expended by March 31, 2026. The minimum grant amount requested from WCB should be no less than $100,000. The Program allows for the following types of projects:  Priority 1: -Restoration of degraded montane meadows and streams -Reforestation and post-fire habitat recovery -Restoration of aspen stands -Acquisitions that protect meadow habitat, migration corridors, or habitat connectivity Priority 2: -Road improvements benefiting...
