Overview

To solicit applications from eligible Emergency Medical Agencies to participate in the Emergency Medical Services Buprenorphine Use Pilot Program. This program will support Local Emergency Medical Service Agencies and Emergency Medical Services providers to provide treatment and access points for patients with an opioid use disorder. This opportunity is for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers to provide treatment and access points for patients with an opioid use disorder. EMS agencies participating in the Emergency Medical Services Buprenorphine Use Pilot Program (EMSBUP) program will address substance use disorder as a treatable emergency condition, utilizing paramedics to identify and treat patients who would benefit from medication-assisted treatment.
