Overview

This program will accelerate the development and expansion of food waste co-digestion projects at wastewater treatment plants and create jobs. Funding can be used to design and build food waste co-digestion systems that will divert significant amounts of food waste from the landfill and convert it to renewable energy. CalRecycle is announcing the application release for the Co-Digestion Grant Program! Applications are due on May 19, 2022. This solicitation is for publicly owned wastewater treatment plants in California.
