Overview

The Program will fund multi-benefit flood risk reduction projects. The projects to be funded by this Program shall: (1) address flood risk for urban communities, small communities and/or rural areas; and (2) enhance ecosystems, including fish and wildlife habitat and improving water quality downstream. Projects must be in the Central Valley of California. This Program will implement flood risk reduction projects with fish and wildlife habitat enhancements in the Central Valley of California (excluding Legal Delta). Priority points will be given to projects associated with supporting Voluntary Agreements to improve water quality in the Sacramento - San Joaquin River Delta.  Eligible funding recipients include any California public agency, nonprofit organization, or Tribe.
