CASF Infrastructure Grant Account

Overview

The statutory goal of the CASF program is to provide broadband access to 98 percent of households in each consortia region. The California Advanced Services Fund (CASF) provides grants to “telephone corporations” as defined under P.U. Code § 234 to bridge the “digital divide” by building and expanding broadband facilities in unserved and underserved areas of the state. The CASF supports projects that a) provide broadband services to areas currently without broadband access and b) build out facilities in underserved areas.
