CALIFORNIA REENTRY AND ENRICHMENT (CARE) GRANTS

Overview

The CARE grant is to provide grants to eligible non-profit organizations to fund CARE grant programs at one or more CDCR institutions. Applicants are required to develop a specific proposal designed to meet the unique needs and requirements of the proposed grant program(s), as well as meet the needs of the incarcerated individuals in CDCR institutions, where the CARE grant programs will be provided. This project will provide $5 million in grants per year for three fiscal years ($15 million total) to eligible non-profit organizations to fund transformative programs in one or more CDCR institutions.
