A Precision Medicine Approach to Improve the Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Depression
Overview
The California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine (CIAPM) will award up to $9 million total across three to five independent research teams ($1.8 to $3 million per team) over a three-year project term to further understanding about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of depression. The principles of precision medicine call for the modern application of scientific data and clinical practice toward the individualization of prevention, diagnosis, measurement, and treatment of disease and wellbeing.
