2025 Clean Water Act Section 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Grant
Overview
The Clean Water Act Section 319 Grant Program awards grants to reduce and mitigate the effects of nonpoint source pollution - such as sediment, pesticides, and nutrients - to waters of the state. The program primarily funds implementation projects, but occasionally offers grants for planning projects. Examples of projects include livestock fencing to reduce sediment and nutrient discharges, agricultural best management practices to reduce pesticide and nutrient discharges, dredging contaminated sediment from pesticide-imparied waters, habitat restoration such as installation of large woody debris and riparian revegetation, and rural road inventories and repairs to reduce sedimentation and erosion.
