Overview

Create supportive housing for individuals who are recipients of/eligible for health care  through the Ca Dept. of Health Care Services, Medi-Cal program. Reduce the financial burden on local/state resources from overutilization of emergency departments, inpatient care, nursing home stays, corrections systems and law enforcement resources as the point of health care provision for people who are chronically homeless and/ a high-cost health user. The 2021 HHC NOFA makes approximately $160 million available to developers in California for the acquisition, rehabilitation, and/or new construction of permanent supportive multi-family housing.
