Geography Workforce training programs must provide eligble services within in the 2018 Eligible Disaster Impacted Areas which include the counties of Butte, Lake, Shasta, Los Angeles, and Ventura. In accordance with 85 FR 4681, at least 80 percent of funds must be spent in HUD-MID areas, which includes Butte, Lake, Shasta and Los Angeles counties. Up to 20 percent of the funds may be spent in a declared county which includes Ventura County.

Overview

The purpose of the DR-Workforce Program is to fund workforce training programs in the 2018 Eligible Disaster Impacted Areas which include the counties of Butte, Lake, Shasta, Los Angeles, and Ventura. Eligible workforce training programs must support social and economic recovery by providing high-quality job opportunities to low- to moderate- income individuals. Eligible applicants are: 1. Jurisdictions, or2. Non-profit organizations, or3. Postsecondary Educational institutions (including career technical institutions), or4. Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDB) Individuals and for-profit businesses are not eligible grant recipients through this program.
